Respiratory Infections

Breathing Trouble? We Bring the Clinic to You.

Respiratory infections can start subtly — a little cough, congestion, or fatigue — and quickly turn into something far more disruptive. Whether it’s a lingering cold, bronchitis, pneumonia concern, sinus infection, RSV, flu, or COVID-19, getting timely evaluation matters. Instead of waiting in an urgent care full of coughing patients, members can reach Calabasas Concierge MD by call, text, or telehealth for rapid assessment from ER-trained physician Dr. Eryk Hakman, with same-day or next-day in-home visits when needed.

Common respiratory infections we treat include:

  • Upper respiratory infections (URIs)
  • Sinus infections
  • Bronchitis
  • COVID-19
  • RSV
  • Croup
  • Influenza
  • Pneumonia (mild to moderate cases)
  • Post-viral cough
  • Allergy-related

Your care begins with direct access — a quick call or text to review symptoms, breathing status, and any red flags. Many respiratory illnesses can be managed via telehealth with guided care, prescriptions, inhalers, cough treatments, or antiviral therapy when indicated. If you require lung exam, oxygen level check, chest assessment, or testing, Dr. Hakman can perform a same-day or next day in-home evaluation with professional-grade tools.

When appropriate, we provide:

  • Testing for COVID-19, flu, and strep
  • Prescription medications
  • Breathing treatments (nebulizers)
  • Supportive care plans for both adults and children
  • IV therapy
  • Follow-up check-ins

If symptoms indicate a more serious condition — such as pneumonia requiring imaging, dehydration needing IV fluids, or worsening oxygen levels — we coordinate imaging or lab testing or emergency care, and Dr. Hakman remains involved as your physician advocate.

Dr. Hakman’s note: “Early evaluation prevents respiratory infections from spiraling. Most patients get relief faster when they reach out at the first sign of breathing changes.”
